La Becasse has been serving French country food in its intimate dining room in Burdickville for over 30 years. We are about a 30 minute drive from Traverse City and are located near Glen Lake in between Glen Arbor, Empire and Maple City. We are a ten minute drive from The Homestead Resort. It is a gem of a place. We hope you'll visit soon.

hours
La Bécasse is located near Glen Lake in Leelanau County. Dinner service begins at 5:30 pm. Our schedule varies throughout the year. Check back here or call us for our current schedule.

Fall 2011
Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 to 9 pm.

the way we work
We love food, wine and hospitality. We are in the business of creating food experiences, the sorts of meals you linger over, and pleasantly recall long after your visit. Our guests may look forward to being received warmly and being cared for by knowledgeable, professional, and friendly staff. The cuisine is "French country." To Guillaume this means simple food prepared really well (although with French flair, bien sur.)

Behind the scenes, we run our small business according to some tightly held values. We are good environmental stewards, we are participative and conscientious members of the community; and we take our role as an employer seriously. Being intentional about our daily decisions makes the work we do that much more meaningful, satisfying and personal.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We hope you like what you see, and we look forward to hosting you in our dining room soon.
